About us
Polski Tabor Szynowy – WAGON, owned by Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A. is a unique entity on the Polish railway market, which, as of 1 February 2022, became the owner of an organized part of the enterprise of Europejskie Konsorcjum Kolejowe WAGON Sp. z o. o. in bankruptcy, covering production plants in Ostrów Wielkopolski and Kalisz.
History
After the end of World War I, Ostrów Wielkopolski was incorporated into Poland and became part of one economic area with competing centers such as Kalisz. Therefore, the city authorities took action to attract industrial investments to Ostrów. Thanks to the efforts of Mayor Stefan Rowiński, the Krakow Joint Stock Company L. Zieleniewski decided to build its factory in Ostrów.
